Week 3

On Christmas morning, Mrs March suggested her daughters to give their breakfast to poor family. At first, they said nothing, but Jo agreed, so all of them did so. Their breakfast was only bread and milk, but they were said ‘thank you.’ by the poor family, so they were happy. They acted plays and everyone had a good time.

Later, they had a lovely surprise. They gave lots of delicious food by old Mr Laurence, their neighbor. He heard about their breakfast, so he gave it to them.

But they did not know him. Why had it happened?

Week 2

I have read some. It appeared four sisters; Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. It was wartime, so their father was far away from home. Their mother was so kind that she visited a poor, sick family and shared food.

The sisters talked each other that they were poor, but they were happy because they had their parents. They received a letter from their father and enjoyed reading it.

I could understand their feeling. I also love my family. My father lived away because of his job, but when he come back home, my whole family become happy.

I’m looking forward to read next chapter.

The second semester

Hi, everyone. I'm Mariko Yoshioka. In this semester, I'd like to read "Little Women". I had the book but I haven't read it, so it is the time that I read the story. It's very famous and popular, so I'm looking forward to read it!

Week 15

Next day, Diana came to Green Gables to say goodbye to Anne. They loved each other, so they were so sad. But Anne found that Diana loved her and Diana was a first person who loved her. So she was glad. Finally she decided to go to school again. There, if she could not talk with Diana, but she could remind the memory with her.

 

     I read from first to here. This story is not finished. There has continuance. So I would like to read the continuance.

     I am also interested in Anne’s imagination. I wonder when I was a child, I was like her. Anyway, I am very enjoyed reading the story. Thank you.

Week 14

Anne invited Diana to her house to have tea. She was looking forward to coming her. She intended to serve strawberry cordial, but she served alcohol in mistake. Dianna was awful sick. Anne was sad because she was really looking forward to having tea with Diana.

     Next day, Anne heard that Diana’s mother was got angry at her because Anne humiliated Diana. She said that she never would like her daughter, Diana to play Anne. Anne went to Diana’s house to apologize to her mother. She told her that she did not intend to do such a thing to Diana. But the mother would not forgive her.

Week 13

It was a week since Anne decided not to go to the school. She hated Mr. Phillips and Gilbert, and loved Diana. Although she did not go to school, she enjoyed her life in Green Gables. She made some brownie and brought to Diana. Anne heard from her that everyone would like Anne to come to school. But she wouldn’t, so Diana was disappointed.

     When they walked together, they met Gilbert. He apologized to her again, but she would not forgive him.

 

     I think Anne is really stubborn. She has strong emotion. She would never forgives them and loves Diana forever.

Week 12

 Anne went to school. She was nervous but thanks to Dianna, she was encouraged. Although she did not like the teacher, Mr. Phillips, but she was happy to make many friends.

     But the handsome boy, Gilbert Blythe came to school. He was popular among girls, but Anne did not like him very much because he meddle girls. He said her red hair, “carrot” and Anne was got angry, she hit his head with her slate. He apologized to her many times, but she would never forgive him. She decided not to go to school forever.

 

     I think Anne was so tough.

Week 11

Marilla did not think that Anne stole the brooch. But she guessed that Anne carried it out with her imagination, then, she lost it. So, she was lying. Marilla did not like lie, so she made Anne to stay the room all the time. Anne was really looking forward to go picnic, but Marilla did not allow her to go out.

     Finally, Anne confessed stealing the brooch. She thought if she confessed, Marilla allows her to go picnic. But Marilla got angry and did not forgive her. Anne cried because she confessed, but it was a lie.

     Then, Marilla found the brooch in the trunk. She allowed Anne to go picnic.

Week 10

Anne was so happy to have a kind friend, Diana. Diana and her mother loved her, too. Matthew gave some chocolate candies to Anne. She said she would like to share them with Diana. Next day, she played with Diana and gave them. She also gave them to Diana’s sister. Diana was glad that.

She was interested in Anne’s imagination. Anne named everything that she thought wonderful. They enjoyed playing.

     Anne found that Marilla’s brooch was beautiful. When she was out, Anne tried putting it in her chest. She put it back where it was, but the brooch was lost. It is a pity, but Marilla doubt Anne.

Week 9

     At first, Anne did not want to apologize to Mrs.Rachel. But Matthew suggested her apologizing to Mrs.Rachel. So she did and the neibor forgave her.

     Anne went to Sunday School. She was really looking forward to go there because she would like to make friends. But she was a little peculiar, so it could not. She was sad, but heard that she could meet Diana tomorrow, so she wished she could make friend with her.

     Next morning, she met Diana. Soon they loved each other. They came to friends. They swore in the flower garden that they were friends forever.

Week 8

     Marilla had a pity for Anne, so she told Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. Bluett that she would like to rethink about whether let Anne stay her home or send to Mrs. Bluett's home. Anne was so happy to hear that.

     Marilla could find that Anne's good points, so she decided to live with her.

     When she talked with the neibor, Mrs.Rachel, she told her about Anne. Then, Anne came there. Mrs.Rachel disparaged at her. She got angry and served rudeness. Mrs.Rachel got angry, too. Marilla thought Mrs.Rachel was not good, but Anne's behavior was not good, too. She told Anne to aporogize to the neibor.

Week 7

     On the way Mrs. Spencer's home,  Marilla asked Anne to her history. At first Anne did not want to mention it, but she started to tell her little by little. Due to the too early death of Anne's parents, she was sent many places. She thought that nobody wanted her. She was so sad, and Marilla was sad to hear it.

     When they arrived to Mrs. Spencer's home, Mrs. Spencer explaind the reason why the mistake happened. Also, Mrs. Bluett wanted Anne to help, so Mrs. Spencer was going to send Anne to her. 

     However, Marilla knew that she was  ill-natured, so she thought if she give Anne to Mrs. Bluett, Anne must suffer from her.

Week 6

     They asked the girl's name.She did not like her name very much. She asked them to call her, "Anne", pronounce  "e" sound. So they called her so.

     Anne was so sad, because she had to leave the Green Gables. Matthew liked her, so he asked Marilla to let her stay here, but she did not accept.

     On the next morning, Anne got up and saw the beautiful view there. She despired, but she felt that it was nice to see the view. She said that she was looking forward to stay here forever, but it wasn't, so she was disappointed. When Marilla heard it, she had a pity for her, but persuaded herself to want a boy.

     I'm sorry for Anne. I want them to let her stay there.

Week 5

     The girl was excited on her way because she was really looking forward to have family, and loved beautiful Green Gables. She named whatever she saw. She could not believe this happiness because whenever after she felt happy, sad things happened.

     However, when she and Matthew went back to home, Marilla was so surprised and got angry because he took not a boy but a girl. When the girl knew

the fact that they wanted not a boy but a girl, she cried. "Eventually sad things happened," she thought.

     They decided that let the girl stay tonight and return to Mrs. Spencer tomorrow.

Week 4

     Matthew Cuthbert and Marilla Cuthbert wanted a boy because they were too old to work farming. They asked Mrs. Spencer to give a boy from the Orphan home. So Matthew was going to meet the boy.

     However, surprisingly, it was a girl to have been there! There's some mistake. He had no choice but to take her to his home. She was so excited because looking forward to have family.

     I think that at first, he was confused about her because he did not expect to get a girl. But as talking with her, he opened his heart little by little.

     So what will Marilla say?

Week 3

    Green Gables is a beautiful and calm place. There are many depiction about it.

     Mrs. Rachel Lynde is a woman who are not only manage her own concerns but also attend closely to her neighbors' business. I think she is a meddlesome in a bad sense.

     She saw Matthew Cuthbert driving over the hollow and up the hill. He was the shyest man alive and hated to have

to go to any place where he might have to talk. He dressed up, too. She found soon that he was going a considerable distance. It is interesting for me that only by his looks, she can understand what he trys to do.

     So, where was he going?

Week 2

     I'm going to read "Anne of Green Gables" , written by L. M. Montgomery. I know the book title, but I have never read it, so I chose this story.

     Today, I'm going to write about the author. Montgomery read a newspaper article. It was a story of the couple who adopted not a boy but a girl by mistake. By reading it, she got an idea and wrote the work. Also, she reflected her own girlhood  in the work that grew up in the country of Prince Edward Island.

     I'm looking forward to read the story with considering my girlhood.

I'm Mariko Yoshioka. I'm in AES class B. I'm in the Kyoto Dance Club,"Hanafushi".
I love Oxford and London. When I was a high school student, I went there.
The historical cities were so beautiful and people were so kind. It was fantastic!
 I'm not good at reading and writing in English, but I'm trying to do it.
